3 ways to practice gratitude

When we are grateful for all that we have in our lives, we begin to vibrate on a higher frequency. A higher frequency will attract more positive things in our lives, whether it be an increase in money, love, health, or happiness.

HOW TO PRACTICE GRATITUDE?

Gratitude can be practiced in many ways. The most important thing to remember is that gratitude comes from the heart and finding a practice that you can be consistent with.

  1. Keep a gratitude Journal

One way to practice gratitude is to keep a gratitude journal. Using a gratitude journal allows you to take time to recognize and reflect on all that you are grateful for.

How to keep a gratitude journal.

  1. Find a journal that you resonate with.

  2. Pick a time of the day to journal. The best time to journal is first thing in the morning or in the evening before going to bed.

Morning Journaling allows you to start the day with a positive mindset and allows you to start your day with gratitude.

Evening Journaling allows you time to reflect on all the wonderful things that happened during your day and reflect on all that you are grateful for. Evening journaling allows you to let go of any negative events that may have occurred during the day and allows you to bring your attention to the positive events, raising your vibrations before your go to bed.

Morning and Evening Journaling allows you to start and end your day with gratitude, helping you shift your mindset to one of pure love and gratitude.

  3. Begin journaling. You can simply write down the things you are grateful for, such as “I am grateful for my beautiful life,” “I am grateful for my loving husband,” and “I am grateful for my children.” Or you can organize your journal in a more structured way by answering a series of questions.

    Morning Journal Questions:

    1. What am I most grateful for today?

    2. What am I grateful for in my personal life?

    3. What am I grateful for in my professional life?

    4. What am I grateful for with my health?

    5. How can I show my gratitude today?

    Evening Journal Questions

    1. Five things/events that I am most grateful for today.

    2. What am I most grateful for in my life?

    3. How did I show gratitude to others?

  4. Be consistent. Creating a gratitude journaling practice that you connect with will help you be consistent.

  5. Be grateful!

2. Give Thanks Before your meal

There is something special when giving thanks before you eat. Giving thanks before you eat ensures you practice gratitude daily and provides nourishment to the food you are about to eat with positive energy. Giving thanks before you eat can be done quietly to yourself or it can be aloud with your loved ones.

A benefit to practicing gratitude during your meal also shifts you to a more mindful state, and maybe even help you lose weight. When you are mindful while you are eating you are more likely to pay attention to what you are eating, as well as help you be mindful of when you are full.

3. Give Thanks during set activity

Giving thanks during a set activity helps you build gratitude in your daily routine without making adjustments to your current daily routine. A set activity gratitude practice is great for anyone with a busy schedule or a busy mom who may not get a lot of alone time.

How to give thanks during a set activity?

All you need to do is pick an activity that you engage in daily as you set an activity when you practice gratitude. Examples of set activities can include brushing your teeth, when you stop at a stop light while driving, while you wash your hair, or as silly as this may sound, every time you go to the restroom.

These activities are typical daily routines and are often done in private. So while you are brushing your teeth, washing your hair, or going to the restroom, just quietly think to yourself about one thing you are grateful for at that moment. You can always be grateful for more than one thing at a time, just go with whatever your heart is feeling grateful for at that time.

A gratitude practice will help focus on all the amazing blessings you have in your life, raising your vibrations to attract more good things in your life.
